Description
Drawing power from epic tales
Theme: Norse warrior-poets who inspire allies with tales of heroism and channel primal rage and magic.
Playstyle: Martial and supportive. Combines combat prowess with powerful rallying abilities for a battlefield leader role.
Skalds, or skálds (meaning "poet" in Old Norse), were poets who composed skaldic poetry, one of the two kinds of Old Norse poetry in alliterative verse, the other being Eddic poetry. Skaldic poems were traditionally composed to honor kings, but were sometimes ex tempore. They include both extended works and single verses.
Traits
Skald's Inspiration Nivel 3
When you join the College of the Skald at 3rd level, your Bardic Inspiration takes on a martial edge. You gain the following benefits:
Battle Chant. When a creature uses your Bardic Inspiration die, they can choose to deal extra damage equal to the die roll on a weapon attack or gain Temporary Hit Points equal to the roll.
Tales of the Ancestors. You learn one additional spell from the Bard Spell List. This spell must be of a level you can cast, and it doesn't count against your spells known.
Words of Fury Nivel 3
You can stir the hearts of your Allies into a battle frenzy. As a Bonus Action, you can use your Bardic Inspiration to target up to five creatures that you can see within 30 feet of you. These creatures gain one of the following benefits of your choice until the start of your next turn:
- Advantage on attack rolls.
- A +2 bonus to their AC
Saga of Heroes Nivel 6
You invoke the tales of legendary Norse warriors to inspire greatness in your allies. You have the following
Saga's Guidance. As a Magic Action, you can choose up to 3 creatures within 60 feet of you. Each creature gains Temporary Hit points equal to twice your Bard level and can add your Charisma modifier to one Test of their choice within the next minute.
Warding Runes. When a creature that is Allied to you that you can see within 10 feet of you takes damage, you can use your Reaction to reduce the damage by 1d10 + your Charisma modifier.
You can use this feature twice, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
Valkyries' Call Nivel 14
As a Bonus Action, You call upon the Valkyries, the legendary spirits of battle, that flit around you in a 30-foot Emanation that lasts for 1 minute. While in the Emanation:
- Your Allies have advantage on Death Saving Throws and saving throws against the Frightened condition.
- When your Allies take damage, they can use their Reaction to move up to 15 feet and make a single weapon attack.
- Hostile Creatures have Disadvantage on attack rolls.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest.
