You gain the following benefits.

Combuster's Vessels. You gain proficiency with Potter's Tools and you learn the Formula for Thunderstone, or another Alchemical Item if you already know it.

Exploding Damage. Whenever you roll the highest value on any of the damage dice of an Alchemical Item, it deals one extra die of damage.

When you create an item that deals damage, you can infuse the item with at least 5 GP of any of the following materials to enhance it.

Nut Shells. The item sends a seismic shock, causing the ground within 10 feet of the area the item was thrown to become Difficult Terrain.

Quartz. When a creature takes damage from the item, it becomes Dazed until the end of the turn. While Dazed, the creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw before it makes an attack, or the attack misses. On a success, the target is no longer Dazed.

Saltpeter. If it only targets a single creature, you can instead target a point within the same range. All creatures within 10 feet of the point are targeted by it.

Powdered Arcane Focus. When it deals damage, roll a d6 and consult the following table to determine its Damage Type.

When you are forced to make a Dexterity saving throw against an effect you can see and hear, you can use your Reaction to move up to half your Speed immediately before the effect occurs, potentially moving out of the area of danger.

Your Phlogiston Theory is enhanced.

Nut Shells. The area of the effect increases to 15 feet and deals double damage to objects and structures.

Quartz. The creature has Disadvantage on the Constitution saving throw to end the Dazed condition.

Saltpeter. The area of the effect increases to 15 feet.

Powdered Arcane Focus. When you roll on the table, roll 3d6 and choose one of the dice to use for the result instead.

Your Exploding Damage benefit of Student of Destruction is enhanced in the following way.

Exploding Damage. Whenever you roll the highest value on any of the damage dice of an Alchemical Item, you can roll those dice an additional time and add the number rolled to the damage until that die doesn't roll its highest value.
