Blue Balaur Stone

Legend has it that the saliva of a mythical Balaur condensates into precious gemstones that bestow incredible magical properties. Few are those who can boast having witnessed such a wondrous creation, and even fewer are those to have possessed it. Yet none can truly tell why these magnificent gems feature different colors and properties. Some speculate that they vary according to the age of the Balaur that produced them or what it had recently feasted upon. Others trust a legend, which dictates that they gain their color depending on the phase of the moon, when its light first shone upon them. A skilled artisan can attach such a gemstone to a weapon, armor, shield, or other item, in order to enhance its properties. Only a single Balaur gemstone can be attached to a piece of equipment.

A blue Balaur gemstone strengthens and wards from harm.

Weapon. The weapon ignores Resistance to Bludgeoning, Slashing and Piercing damage.

Armor or Shield. Any damage dealt to you is reduced by 2. After reducing 10 points of damage in this way, the stone's magic becomes inert until the next dawn.

Other. Once before every new dawn, upon failing a saving throw, you may choose to roll it again. You must use the new roll.
