Darkplume Shot (HB)

You cause your projectile to turn into a harrowing raven while mid-flight towards its mark. The next time you make a Ranged weapon attack against a target while this spell is active, your attack ignores any benefit of Cover the target has, as long as there is a clear path towards it. In addition to its normal effects, this attack can be made against any target you are aware of and is within your weapon's range, even if it has Total Cover from you. On a hit, this attack deals an extra 1d8 Necrotic damage. Hit or miss, this spell ends after the attack is resolved.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot: The damage increases by 1d8 for each spell slot level above 1 (to a maximum of 6d8).
