Candle of Vicious Torment

This candle's wax has been infused with the enchanted blood of living creatures. It has no wick, yet when it melts, it appears to liquefy unnervingly fast. When the hair of a target creature is inserted into the top and ignited, the hair will burn like a regular candle wick. This candle's magic is activated when the candle is lit, which requires a Magic Action. After burning for 1 hour, the candle is destroyed. You can snuff it out early for use at a later time. Deduct the time it burned in increments of 1 minute from its total burn time. For every minute that the candle burns, the target creature to whom the hair belongs to has its Hit Point total reduced by 1, as a wound it has suffered in the past magically reopens and bleeds. If its Hit Point maximum is reduced to 0 in this way, the creature dies. The creature's Hit Point total can be reverted to normal through the effects of spells such as Greater Restoration or a Wish.
