As soon as you have eaten this mushroom, it begins to slowly spread from the inside out, ultimately taking over your body. Every time you finish a Long Rest, you gain a level of Exhaustion that cannot be removed in any way. If you die from Exhaustion caused in this way, you rise as a fungi-infested nezhit 2d6 minutes after your death. Spells like Greater Restoration, Lesser Restoration or similar magic, end this condition on yourself and therefore allow you to remove any accumulated levels of Exhaustion through normal means.
